AFFIDAVIT DISCLOSING A DEFENCE ON THE MERIT

I, Idris Yakubu, Male, Accountant, Nigerian citizen residing at no 4, Ringroad Avenue, Area 11 Abuja, do hereby make oath and state as follows:

• I am the Accountant of the defendant company by virtue whereof I am conversant with the facts deposed to in this affidavit
• I have the authority of the board of directors of the company to depose to this affidavit.
• It is true that steel material worth the sum of N2, 000,000.00 (Two Million) was supplied by the plaintiff and received by the company.
• After a week of the said supply the sum of N2, 000,000.00 was approved for payment into the Zenith Bank account of the plaintiff.
• The copies of the bank tellers issued to the defendant showing payment is hereby attached and marked as Exhibit "D"
• I know that the defendant has a defence to the claim of the Plaintiff.
