1.

(1) There is established the Federal College of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Abuja (in this Act referred to as “the College”).
(2) The College –
(a) shall be a body Corporate with perpetual succession and a common;
(b) shall be an unconventional institution; and
(c) may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

Objects of the College.

2.

The objects of the College shall be to –

(a) encourage the advancement of learning and to hold out to all persons, without distinction of race, creed, sex or political conviction, the opportunity of acquiring a higher education in complementary and alternative medicine;
(b) act as agent of catalyst, through training, research and innovation for the effective and economic utilisation and conservation of complementary and alternative medicine;
(c) develop and offer academic and professional programmes leading to the award of diplomas, higher national diplomas and other deserving certificates in the field of complementary and alternative medicine and other related courses;
