Establishment of Federal College of Education (Technical), Keana, Nasarawa State

(1) There is established the Federal College of Education (Technical), Keana, Nasarawa State (in this Act referred to as “the College”).

(2) The College-

(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and common seal;

(b) may acquire, hold and dispose of interest in movable and immovable properties; and

Governing Council of the College

(1) The governance and direction of the College affairs shall rest in the governing Council of the college (in the Act referred to as the Council).

(2) The Council shall have the responsibility to consider and approve the-

(a) programme of studies to be undertaken in the College;

(b) annual estimates of the College; and

(3) The provision of the Schedule to this Act shall have effect with respect to the Council as mentioned. [Schedule]

Membership of the Council in the College

The Council shall consist of-

(a) a chairman and other members to be appointed by the President;

(b) a representative of the Federal Ministry of Education;

(d) two representatives of Academic Board of the College;

(e) representative of the National Commission for the College of Education; and
