1. These Rules may be cited as the Nigerian Army (Courts-Martial) (Appeals) Rules of Court. Short title
2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires- “appellant” includes a person who has applied for leave to appeal; “the Court” means the Court of Appeal; “the Act” means the Nigerian Army Act; “exhibits” means all documents and things which have been produced and used in evidence at a trial by court martial, whether they are attached to the proceedings of the court martial or not; “the Registrar” means the Chief Registrar of the Court; “the respondent” means the Attorney-General of the Federation.
