Arrangement of Sections
1. THE MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE COUNCIL OF NIGERIA ACT
2. (1) There is established a body to be known as the Medical Laboratory Science Council of N
3. (1) There is established for the Council a Governing Board (in this Act referred to as “th
4. (f) a representative of the Association; and
5. (h) inspect, regulate and accredit medical laboratories; and
6. The Registrar shall perform the following duties-
7. (e) strike off the names of deceased members from the Register; and
9. (1) Where in any proceeding the membership of a person in the profession is in doubt, any
10. (1) A person admitted into the profession by the Council may be enrolled as-
12. (1) Subject to section 10a rule made under section 7 of this Act a person enrolled as stud
13. (a) that he is of good character; and
14. (a) as soon as may be publish a copy of every such instrument in the Federal Gazette; and
15. (b) the standard of the examination; and
17. (b) where such an appeal is brought and is withdrawn or struck out for want of prosecution; or
18. (1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, a person shall be deemed to be actively eng
21. (1) The rules made under this Act shall be published in the Federal Gazette as soon as the
23. (a) in the case of a first offence, to a fine twice the prescribed practicing fee; and
24. (1) The council shall establish and maintain a fund into which shall be paid and credited
25. The Council shall submit to the Minister in each financial year an estimate of its revenue
26. (1) The Council shall keep proper accounts and proper records in relation thereto and shal
27. (1) The Council shall prepare and submit to the Minister not later than 30th June in each
28. The provisions of the Third Schedule to this Act shall have effect with respect to matters
